I have been working with HTML5 Canvas for a number of years now and I have many books on the subject, and I thought I knew the subject fairly well.
I came across a reference to this book by accident on-line. I obtained a used copy via Amazon, where the postage was more than the cost of the book. I purchased a used copy, mainly because I can't remember the number of times I have paid the full price for a book, I had high hopes for, and I had only been disappointed once I got it.
I have to say, I wasn't expecting too much with this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is really very good.
I spent a couple of hours looking for particular topics I was always unhappy with the explanations I had read before. For example, how pixels are addressed in two specific ways. Sure enough, there was a clear concise description, which was totally illuminating and completely unique to anything I had ever read before.
I am now going to look for more books/articles etc. written by Simon Sarris..
