This is a wonderful book! So many things happen and relates back to that time period a lot! I don’t have much to say but I’m the book Forge, also by Laurie Halse Anderson, you can learn a little about Mattie’s grandma Matilda Cook. When I read the tie between the books that got me so excited and curious if there would be any more ties. I didn’t want to spoil anything so I kept this sweet and simple but overall I would give this book a 5 star rating.
