More sizzle than steak, but fun. Ryan Reynolds is always watchable..

Not for the faint of heart. Very graphic scenes of death and mutilation. However, the twists and turns kept my interest. Madeline was my favorite character (although at times I felt like I was watching Sharon interrogating someone on Major Crimes). Very well done. Being originally from Baltimore, Edgar Allan Poe has always fascinated me, and his various writings' lines were incorporated perfectly.

Bestie and I binged it in two nights. She ended up with no fingernails and we both had palpitations by the finale. Whether he is Stringer Bell, Luther or Sam, Idris Elba always delivers.

One of the few movie adaptations that I really liked. I had read the book prior to watching the movie, so I was prepared to be disappointed. Good casting, too. A little more romance implied in the book than in the movie, but all-in-all, pretty darn good film. (The scene in the covered parking garage was inspired.)

How in the world can you mess up such a momentous story? And what was up with the dancing? Better off trying to get a copy of "Raid on Entebbe."
