Never got the 'tHiS iS nOT nEcEssary, bOOk beTtEr, oLd fIlM bEtTer waAhhh!!1!!' people. This is an adaptation, none of them is gonna be exactly the same, otherwise there's not much of a point. As long as the main story is the same I'm fine with it. The film wasn't exactly like the book either. I think this series was beautifully done, certainly more implied violence than actually violence but you still get the tension and drama that came with the original book. Heart wrenching and gut wrenching, 8.5/10, nice soundtrack, excellent animation, great story.

The 10 minute episode on Wired’s YouTube channel titled ‘Why Captive Tigers Can’t Be Reintroduced to the Wild’ talked more about the plight of big cats than this whole series. This reality TV series is so full of ridiculous drama and glorifying that animal abuser Joe Exotic that most viewers don’t even remember the point of the show was originally to show how big cats shouldn’t be kept as pets.
