I really got to dwell enough to realize that this film was spectacular for both Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Carpio. The emotions that was intended was on point. It symbolizes that the dream of suburban family life wasn’t always cut out for everybody. The dreams they aspire to have upon the start of their marriage and how they suddenly drifted apart through the events that had happened. Quite frankly to say that Winslet’s character was a total portrayal of an American housewife in the 50’s who’s dedicated all her time and love into raising her family. Di Carpio’s performance was outstanding as to how he kept claiming that his job wasn’t suited for what he wanted and until he saw potential with his talent which made him love his work. Life has made expectations for both couples struggling to find their purpose and beneath all the life changing events, nothing was enough for either. This movie speaks toxicity on both characters with how they handle such situations in their marriage. I can say that this movie had struck a different perspective on my behalf with how the usual perceiving of all marriages being the end of all great things an individual can have.
