I'm willing to bet all the people leaving these good reviews weren't born when this came out or weren't old enough to see it. Awful horror movie sequel against the spirit of the original. Nothing redeeming about it but has found fandom of among Tim Burton-esque croonies. Totally dark adds nothing to the legacy of the original. If your defense is this a fairytale and it's supposed to be scary you are way off base. It saddens me people parents didn't shelter them from this abysmal mess. Its not a fairytale. Totally against the integrity of the books.
