My perspective only so don’t belittle me. Overall, the movie was great! Loved the acting, story line, etc. However, the movie portrayed someone to be this abusive being that wasn’t properly scripted throughout! The movie portrays a guy and specific instances, which are later to be portrayed as domestic violence, abuse, etc. which don’t align with the story making them out to be just accidents due to random scenarios! The movie portrays the husband out to be this terrible person, yet the scenes we, as the audience, are supposed to hate him and see such a terrible person are portrayed as accidents throughout giving mixed feelings about whether or not such occurrences even took place. I completely understand people have trauma from their childhoods and upbringings, but this movie tiptoed around what was actually going on while depicting something else only to elaborate later that this was a very bad situation! It makes a guy look bad when fingers are pointed at situations depicted that are unclear. If he, the husband, was to be made out to be this bad guy, then certain scenes should have focused on that, but I feel it wasn’t and the reason I have a hard time wrapping my head around what was what, whom was the villain, and more!
