Watched the July 12, 2020 show, with Chuck Todd interviewing Adm. Giroir about the administration's response to the corona virus. I fail to understand why Chuck allowed Giroir to spout the official white house BS about how serious the administration is taking the pandemic, and not pose very basic questions re that response. If the president and the administration were serious, why does the president not act and apply mandatory mask and distancing requirements as other countries have done? Why allow the country to open prematurely when the obvious results were the new surges of the disease in the states? Why push to reopen schools when the lives of children and educators are at risk? If serious, why disavow the doctors in his own "task force", and now seek to discredit Dr Fauci, and pin the blame on him instead of the President's own inaction? There could have been a multitude of questions to question the validity of the white house response, but it seems as though Chuck was either lofting softballs to Girior, or afraid to broach the questions that need to be at the forefront of this issue. Quite disappointing from a journalistic point of view, very disappointing for society in turmoil.
