I’ve been so excited for this album…It’s better than I even imagined. He might not show up to accept it, but you can just give him the Grammy anyway…this is the album of the year. 🏆 Both brutal and beautiful at the same time, this is the sound of therapy as poetic art. If you’ve been following along with the NF saga, there has been no raw nerve untouched and no anger or hurt left unspoken. This album peeks at the promise of breaking through to hope and reconciliation…laying every vulnerability bare…and capturing every bit of it on tape. As a vocab nerd, there’s an added dimension of ear-worminess in terms of the sheer tsunami of words spilled alone. Then add the speed and dizzying dexterity, the ever-changing cadences and sweetly sung in-betweens…it’s a verbal onslaught in the most wonderful of ways…without any ugly name calling or one single expletive. Imagine that… And then the tracks…oh my gosh the tracks. Sometimes delicate, sometimes bombastic, but none without a cinematic energy that only punctuates the ridiculously raw admissions and (long-overdue) humble brags that remind us that this IS hip-hop and this is a work by an artist who is FULLY on his game…sooooo stand back 🖤 It’s all almost too much to take… …just listen #NF #RealMusic
