I'm a big fan of medical drama series. I watched 'Good Doctor ' America which is originally based on the Korean Drama series. Hence, I decided to watch 'Doctor John' and this is my first Korean Series that I have watched.
I have to say how incredibly researched the content is. I am a big fan of Ji Sung now. Can he be more hotter? He has perfectly played the role of Dr.Cha. Charming, handsome, and confident. I have to say from playing the character of a patient to being the most loved doctor - he nailed it.
I loved the chemistry between Dr.Cha and Dr.Kang so much. The love, care, and attachment has been beautifully upheld by the creators. Specially, those scenes where Dr Kang Si Young comes forward to save Dr.Cha everytime he is in pain and trouble.
The series rightfully talks about pain and life and what happens when we slowly approach to death knowing our end is near. This is the first time I came to know about the CIPA medical condition and how dangerous it is for a person to be not able to identify their body pain. That makes me feel blessed that pain is actually the signal our body sends to let us know something is wrong inside and we have always seen it as a curse. But this series has changed my perspective about that.
Lastly, Dr.Lee Yoon Jo, you made me laugh my heart out. Dr Lee was the most underrated character in the series. He is another charm of the show. He was the person who kept the threads between Dr.Cha and Dr.Kang together. I believe the series is incomplete without him.
I love the fact that makers did not stretch the show to another pull of seasons. They wonderfully told the entire story in 16 episodes and finished it in a single season.
I'm thankful that I decided to watch this series.
I re-watch the episodes to see Dr.Cha operating and the beautiful chemistry with Dr.Kang Si Young.
I thank the makers immensely for creating this series that beautifully talks about the reality of life and makes the audience to rethink of their priorities in life.
