It was nice to finally catch up with an X-Men movie after so long (with all the previous hype of the avengers movies). I've always been a big fan of the stories and above all the memorable characters. Unfortunately I found the Marvel's Avengers Endgame showed us everything that Dark Phoenix was lacking. We see Jean Grey taking the stage as currently the most powerful mutant (ultimately we would think nothing could stop her, right?). What the movie did is showcase her powers with building climaxes we would expect but fizzles out fast. Not much struggle or fight but stripped down. What this really could have done with was at least a huge space fight to show her real capabilities in more epic proportions. (Taking more inspiration from Infinity War/ Endgame really could have helped give it a boost)
