Trying to write this with as little spoilers as possible lol. At first, I was interested in seeing this movie but didn’t have the highest hopes. But I saw it anyway and I’m glad I did. I’ll say this: if you’re looking for a serious action movie, this is not the one for you. If you’re just tired or struggling and want a stupid funny dark humor comedy for laughs, its perfect. I can best describe it as clever. Its intentionally unintentionally stupidly funny. It starts off really slow and the plot becomes very confusing but it all ties together and makes sense throughout. I was worried that the level of gore and violence would become annoying but it was done in a rather comedic way which made it funny. The cinematography was stunning. Despite it being purposely “bad” kind of movie, the technical aspects of it were extremely well done. It definitely relies on randomness and obscurity. Brad Pitt hasn’t been in the best movies lately but this is definitely one of his better ones as of lately. Still the weirdest Brad Pitt film I’ve ever seen but definitely good. Lots of laughs. Best comparison I could make is its like Deadpool, and then I realized it shares the same director as Deadpool 2. All in all, I think it’s a worthwhile movie, definitely a good comedy to end the summer with. Hope this helps!
