I wanted to like this movie but it just flops. The dialog was trying so hard to be meaningful that it became overbearing. The acting was flat even though there was constant crying and arguing. There's no heart to this movie and it doesn't feel genuine. I hate to say it but Elliot is becoming a bit narcissistic over his triumph to becoming a man. And pretty pedantic. Like it's just becoming the highlight of his personality. That's how this movie feels. It could have been cute. It had potential. The movie is pretty crappy. 2 stars for trying. Super lame.
