All I knew of Leonard Bernstein was from album covers I hadn't seen in 40 years. If he had been interviewed by 60 Minutes I may have seen it, but have no recollection. I mean no disrespect to Mr. Bernstein, but I had/have no interest in his music. I had no knowledge of his personal life, and quite honestly have no interest in anybody's personal life outside of my immediate family. That being said, I chose to watch the movie because I like the majority of Bradley Cooper's work. To say the least, I was mesmerized by Mr. Cooper's portrayal in this movie. The "love story" could be a tale (truth or fiction) in any number of other movies about anybody else. I believe Mr. Cooper deserves 4 Oscars: Actor, Director, Producer, Story (whatever category fits). The Make-up crew also deserve an Oscar. I have never seen any movie that made me focus on the portrayal of all of the characters as Maestro does. The "black & white" recollections transforming into a "full color" showing is a superb touch. A love story is a love story is a love story. This is an excellent movie.
