I find it hard to believe that this piece of boring, long and often annoying drivel was made by the same man who directed Jaws, Schindler’s List, Close Encounter, etc. Disappointing to put it mildly and charitably.

One of the best Sci Fi movies of all time! Creative, imaginative, yet still very much in the realm of the possible. As the project manager said, the universe is so much stranger than we can even imagine.
