Iterum
(By Yashaswini Balasubramanyam - Review by Shashikala Raghuraman)
Do you read one book a day? Every night? Do you go to bed anticipating a good story? Do you want an occasional escape into worlds different from yours?
Then you should definitely read the book Iterum – A tale of Mystic Metamorphoses. Iterum means “Uncomparable, Again, Anew” in Latin. The author’s imagination is uncomparable, anew and will make you read the book again.
My most favourite in the collection is “ A deal with an Albino Pigeon “ It took me a long time to come back from that market and that haunted house…The story telling and imagination have captured my hearts…
Eventhough the author takes us to imaginary worlds and makes us wander in a jungle of dinosaurs, monkeys, pigeons, dyad, monsters, she always brings us back to real life philosophies..
“ As long as they hesitate, we will thrive….not just survive..” Who are these “We” …Just read “A puppet and his master” , the first tale in this book….
If you are a distressed soul, who has forgotten your dreams, I am sure this story will make you chase your dreams…..
