Chibi Robo as a series was about a robot helping clean up the houses of other and finding treasures along the way. The first game released on the GameCube which we know didn't sell as well as it should have. Next, they make Chibi Robo games for the DS. This may seem like a great idea due to the amount of people who actually had one was way more than the GameCube. But the thing is that they released it when the DS was dying. Desperate, they realize that "everyone wants 2D platformers" as that was all Nintendo was releasing at the time. So, they decided to make Chibi Robo into a 2D platformer. What a terrible mistake. This game feels so uninspired and forced. They also told their fans that if this Chibi Robo game didn't sell well, they wouldn't make any more games for the robot. So most of the sales were either by confused grandma's or people who wanted more chibi robo. But nobody really wanted this 2D platformer. It kills all the charm the original games had entirely. Sure, you can collect food native from other countries but that's really all it has going for it. Oh yeah, instead of houses or something more native to the games, they decide to make real world countries and continents the main locations. That kills all perspective of being a tiny robot doing chores around the house and flips it on its head. The only sign of you being small is the occasional large hat. And lastly, for the final boss, we are to pay for the parts of the Robot with the coins we use to go to the next level and perks. We were given no warning and would have to replay parts of the game to get more coins. So in conclusion, don't waste your money on this pile of forced garbage. It doesn't let me give zero stars so I'll have to settle with one.
