One of the best coming of age animated movies I’ve watched. Too often movies of young girls and women are about finding love and getting married. This movie reminded me what it was like being a preteen again. Having your first crush, getting your period, doing silly things with your friends. And above everything else, the culture it brought made me so emotional for the Chinese community. This movie was not only entertaining but had a beautiful message behind it. And it brings healing.
