I saw this when I was 7 years old in New Zealand and the movie is extremely weird and a surreal experience. There is something about this movie that makes me think about it nearly a decade later. I do not know why but every now and then I remember this movie for no apparent reason. I remember it was about shape-shifting monsters and at some point, they pretend to be cops for some reason. I also remember some kids having to hold rocks. I don't remember if the movie was good or not but I remember the weird CGI that does not hold up to today's standards. As much as I think about this specific movie, I don't think I will watch it in the near future.
