Where to begin? Anyone who has been traumatized or abused by domestic violence or workplace threats & intimidation should not watch this romantic comedy. Violence isn't comedy. Script for ML all over the landscape with very violent temper. He's nasty, breaks things & no one would want to be around him unless script was written that way. The considerate FL, Dr. Joo, refuses to give up on him despite the many horrible things he does to her. She's kind, loving considerate & a doormat. Can't believe sadistic, physical abuse was included in romantic comedy. ML is delighted to bruise her face with torrent of water during what begins as playful water fight and ends soberly for her. There is also verbal & emotional abuse heaped upon FL & anyone else gets in way of ML neurosurgeon. FL needed counseling just as much as he did. In real life door mat personalities do not turn bullies around. There was a physical cause to his nasty personality but it seemed there was no treatment except risky surgery. At some point she gets away from abuse of sister & ML causing a course change in both. Too many direction changes that don't fit together. ML character & FL character are seen after notation "1Year later". Who knows what happened but he finally declares his love at lame friends & family field day. And that's it? Love finally happens within 2 minute wrap up. Won't go on my watch again list.

Loved another Miss Oh but thought too many subplots were carried too far. Also liked this Thai version. Not many variations from original script but variations that were written fit well with story. I have watched Another Miss Oh several times & will do so with Unlucky Ploy. FL in Thai version best actor in production, ML not quite at level of ML in Miss Oh.

Drama began on great premise of developing romance-love story. The one element that killed it for me was the mechanical heart. Actual mechanical hearts preceded human heart transplants. Successful human heart transplants had been taking place long before this drama was written with an electric artificial heart. I skipped episodes 28-34 due to boredom. Watched conclusions in episodes 35 & 36. 36 tied up loose ends in less than dramatic ways. Mediocre happy ending.

Review only covers viewing through Episode 10. I really liked this K drama when I first started viewing. Acting of ML & FL and most of cast is excellent. The storyline was believable up to a certain point. Whenever I like characters & storyline I have great sense of suspended disbelief. Even with suspended disbelief the storyline was stretched too far into fantasy by end of Episode 10. It was still believable when ML who was an unemployed, mediocre stuntman became motivated by murder of his nephew. He then became a motivated, avenging super stuntman. However, I could no longer hold suspended disbelief as he turned into a super, super-spy with skill sets too far beyond his basic character. The plot became way too complicated which far exceeded my suspended disbelief. It seemed like EVERYONE was in some way connected to conspiracy or conspiracies. The sexual/relationship tension between ML & FL was one part of story which scriptwriters maintained well through Episode 10. The storyline would be better suited to a series/movies where characters are everyday people who transform into alter-ego Super Heroes & Villians.

Liked the storyline as well as actors. Hard to believe that 21st century Chinese television writers & directors portrayed young women as objects. In the script I noticed that if young men were strong enough they would pull young women around, pat them on the head as if they were pet dogs & act in ways that are demeaning to girls in the story. I think it had to be scripted that way. I recommend the series only if you can look beyond the misogynistic attitudes portrayed.

Could have been great but abusive male-female dynamics are very primitive. Was this drama reflective of attitudes in China towards women? I have watched others that are more reflective of healthy dynamics. The Female Lead was in an emotionally abusive relationship with a secondary male character. He neglects FL & repeatedly breaks promises he makes preferring to do his own activities. At various times he roughly grabs her arm or wrist & pulls her along while she struggles against him. At one point FL is manhandled by ex who won't take no for an answer. The ML her "true" love also physically manhandled her. Both male characters flick her on the forehead indicating their belief that she is stupid. Neither male character has a very high emotional IQ. Script makes them that way. The character portrayed by ML is clearly less mature than FL but script has him repeatedly treating her as if he is her father. ML repeatedly lies to her bc he has need to control her. Fears being honest with her. Seems demeaning treatment of women is OK with scriptwriter. ML taking FL to be married without telling her where they were going was improper & reflective of his domineering attitude.

SPOILER ALERT: With the great chemistry between the lead characters Hong Hae-in & Baek Hyun-woo I wish the scriptwriter could have skipped the bittersweet ending. Feeling happy for the couple after they are married the second time didn't last for long. The scriptwriter jump to the end of life scenes with Baek Hyun-woo visiting the gravestone of Hae-in who died at age 84. Imagining what happened between them having a child & that visit left me mourning the time that was in no way celebrated. So many K-dramas I have watched lately end with bittersweet or just bitter feelings of what might have been. I wonder if this is current trend among K-drama scriptwriters. Lead viewers to the edge of happiness then back away or let them hanging. I felt teased with questions playing out about the remarriage of Hae-in & Hyun-woo. I watched closely as they inched closer & closer to one another. Suddenly after seeing that they had a daughter I was whisked away to the gravestone of Hae-in visited by a very elderly Hyun-woo. Melancholic music left me feeling quite empty. The remarried hero & heroine of this drama & their life together us not celebrated. The ending of "Queen of Tears" was huge let down for me.

ENDING SPOILER ALERT. I love this series. I have watched it several times. I may watch it again in the future. Even though I am reading English subtitles I find the acting to be worthy of 5 Stars. It's great. I believe that since I must read subtitles I notice more of the non-verbal acting. When watching movies or television in English I can keep up with the story without close attention to the screen 100% of the time. When I stream programs in languages which I neither  speak nor understand I pay close attention bc I must read the English subtitles. The chemistry portrayed between the lead characters helped draw me into caring about the characters  Good acting also helped led me to feel annoyed at a few of the characters. I could have easily given "Doom At Your Service"  5 Stars. I did not bc I found the ending incongruous with one of the main themes that ran through most of the episodes. The viewer is drawn into a strong, passionate love story between Tak Dong-kyung (Park Bo-young) and the deity Doom, Kim Sa-ram (Seo In-guk). It's a love that leads them to the point of making self-sacrifices. Kim Sa-ram makes the ultimate sacrifice so that Tak Dong-kyung can be healed from the cancer which is killing her. After Kim Sa-ram's demise Tak Dong-kyung mourns, weeps & yearns for him to be with her. After Sa-ram's return as a human Tak Dong-kyung is overjoyed. The story, however, takes an unexpected, incongruous turn in my mind. Tak Dong-kyung repeatedly rejects him when he wants to stay together overnight (something they had already done). Kim Sa-ram proposes marriage when the effects of cancer were at their worst for Tak Dong-kyung. After his demise & return as a human Kim Sa-ram repeatedly brings up the idea of forever staying by one another's side & marriage. Essentially Tak Dong-kyung was refusing to live together as well as refusing marriage. She teases but is unyielding. Kim Sa-ram pursued her while being rejected. It would have fit perfectly with the turn in the storyline if Tak Dong-kyung had suggested that Kim Sa-ram explore his newly found humanity by dating other women. The way in which Tak Dong-kyung kept emotional distance between them & the idea of her dating other men could have fit the turn which the storyline had taken. The closing scene brought some satisfaction to the viewing experience.

Very addictive series up until FL begins to decompensate & ends up attempting suicide. Felt terrible seeing her on a locked ward. Even worse seeing her persecuted for having depression. I was outpatient psychotherapist for 26 yrs. Did unexpectedly suffer Major Depression with Anxiety 5 yrs in. Never hospitalized but gave me entirely new perspective & helped me be more empathetic towards my clients with depression and/or anxiety. Storylines for lead characters in sub-plots we're very interesting. As represented in the story I felt the view of mental illness among general population in Korea is as bad or worse than in the US. I like stories with happily ever afters. Good drama. Excellent acting. Park Bo-Young's portrayal of psychiatric nurse, FL was superb. I was only familiar with her acting in "Doom at Your Service". However, "Daily Dose..." left me with bittersweet feelings.

I find the whole relationship between CEO & intern causes a lot of frustration. He refuses to take "no" or "stop" for an answer. She doesn't assert herself when he puts silly grin on his face & says she's cute. Does acting cute like a toddler excuse a 26 yr old man for getting physical with a woman he is attracted to but barely knows? I'd like to tell her to slap him across the face when he gets overly familiar. In this day & age it's sexual harassment. Very male dominant drama/comedy. It's seen in his over familiarity, hovering over her, crowding her physically,, moving her around physically, opening her bedroom door to look at her without consent the night she provides temporary place to sleep and other instances of invading personal space with domineering behavior. I have 2 daughters & can't take it. I don't find domination & acting cute excusable. Made it through 2.5 episodes but not going to watch any more.
