Ok. I went into this movie expecting it to be great. The beginning was so-so, but naïve little me was waiting for the good part. It never came. There was a bunch of roads that this movie could have taken, such as: 1. Barbie sees how much more “real” the real world is, and mother-daughter duo help her out in finding herself 2. Barbie helps mother-daughter duo reconcile their differences 3. Barbie realizes how to find herself There were a ton of things that could have been developed better. What’s with the Mattel men? They’re supposed to be a big part of the plot and yet they appear for like 2 minutes. Why is the entire movie just “Put Men in Their Places, Woman Must Rule”? And this is coming from a girl.
