Historical fiction-combines facts with fiction. Great illustrations enhance the story and make it accessible to ALL children. Used during Guided Reading time to enhance knowledge about Stone Age which we were learning about simultaneously but I could easily have extended the planning for English lessons. Love this book and Yr 3 classes enjoyed it too!
