Dracula is supposed to be charming, tall, dark and handsome. He’s tall and dark. I’m a fan of the writing but with the exception of Van Hellsing: the casting is just off. Dracula was clearly cast to look like Bela Lugosi, and he does; but there the comparison ends. The special effects department needed more money or something. Ugly effects, sweet Jesus are they ugly. The show is watchable, very watchable. Great writing, interesting takes on the old story. I’ll keep watching, despite the cast; and it won’t be with weighted breath. I’m not invested in the characters.
