As a Mega Man fan whos super in on the fangame scene, i love how Mega Man 11 advances the gameplay with the double gear system, but it feels like it falls back on NES difficulty a lot of the time with instant death and such. It feels less like the next generation of Mega Man and more like Mega Man is finally catching up after being out for so long. Still, the bosses and weapons are amazing, and it has very very good replay value despite being shorter than any other Mega Man game.
So it's not exactly revolutionary, but it feels like a necessary step for the series to take before they make something truly amazing. (but seriously, classic MM fans, check out the fangames, there's some pretty amazing stuff out there)
