As someone who is big into sports and sports movies this one lays flat for me compared to many other true stories I've watched. If this crew had put some money into this and actually gave it some heart then it would have spoken to me more. I've seen better pieces done by ESPN with Tom Rinaldi and lord knows they didn't have a budget like this movie did and you find yourself moved and in tears from the first time you hear Tom's voice. This movie doesn't even rank in my opinion because you've got two actors that were not believable and seemed to not want to sell this during the movie. Save yourself the time and go watch a true story that has heart like BLAST 23 or GREATER! You will be moved and more fulfilled than you ever will be by watching this. I'm still amazed how this has such a high rating especially on Rotten Tomatoes!

Very poorly acted when you see the quality of actors and background movie and TV experience. I never understand in Christian movies why named actors don't give a good performance. Are they told to tone it down for a reason? This is a true story so I feel like you should more of an effort into something like this even if your not making movie star money for once. Only one scene in the whole movie that seems authentic and heartfelt! I have worked on a 2 Christian based films and this one is just feels questionable at best. With this being a true story everyone involved owes it to the story and the family to give it their best heartfelt performance!
