Well, it’s not Game of Thrones, is it? More of a Station 11 but that’s not fair either. It is demanding of the viewer to follow the flow as it jumps from fantasy to reality to whimsy to character study, sometimes in French and sometimes in English. And that’s even before you jump back and forth from an old black and white movie to the actual real time filming of the new Irma Vep. A delight full of insight on human nature, film making, stress, love, revenge and fame.
