Mahima Bose

Set in Lucknow, Gulabo Sitabo depicts the idiosyncratic lifestyle of people trying to search for a ray of hope (in the form of money) amidst their daily struggles to make ends meet. The whole story revolves around an old mansion which the tenants, the owner's husband and third party people try to eye on, but ultimately ends up slipping out of their hands in a sudden turn of events. This movie has great performances by both Ayushman Khurana and Amitabh Bacchan, but that doesn't mean they steal all the limelight. All characters have an amazing character build-up, appropriate screen time and effective acting. The story gives very deep rooted messages regarding greed, overall disfunctioning government agencies and neglect of old people. It's a fun and entertaining movie as well.
