Let me say this. Star Trek: Discovery was one of the most successful TV Series ever to grace Netflix or any other platform. From Season One to Season 2, it brought in many fans of the prevo series' that included TNG, DS9, TOS and The Orville, before Strange New World's retook the helm in a straight bearing for those who lost the series to Pluto TV!!! TBH I stopped watching when it was taken from Netflix - which is probably because it was cancelled - but I will always remember it for how realistic and close to how space would be in a few years. Although a lot of my friends said that they weren't into Discovery, I found it funny how they knew exactly what was happening and all the names of the crew, too. Which is why I say - and know - that a lot of non-Trekies tuned in to watch this fantastic visual display of intergalactic ships and aliens like you have never seen them. I actually picked up a couple of great connections along the way too, including Doug Jones, who I respect highly for his role in this unbeatable series.

Seth MacFarlane's The Orville was wildly popular even before it's TV debut, because of the hilarious trailer spots that gave every potential viewer that need to see at least one episode. From the first episode all the way through to the last of Season One I really enjoyed the feel and architecture of the ships, special effects and even the unique flavour that each character brought into the series. True, there were a few moments of tongue in cheek comedic quirks, but these are expected with MacFarlane from his prevo creations and co-productions which have left viewers in hysterics. From all the crew of The Orville, including Bordus, who I believe is everyone's favourite, along with Mercer, Lamar, McCoy and even Kelly. But there is a favourite for everyone, I'm sure of that. As for the episode storylines, I think there is none that I didn't find entertaining, funny and again, sometimes a little risque as to language and innuendo both. One of the best of these was Bordus and his ritual in peeing once per year, as well as laying an egg... If you haven't seen The Orville, then you should check out at least one episode and see for yourself the wonder of what a once stand up comedian can actually offer the television world and an awaiting audience of true comedy.

As a young kid I loved the original Lost In Space series, which went from b/w to colour very quickly because of its popularity with millions of kids all over the world. For me, the change of Dr Smith from the male cast of the original concept to a female casting in this series - even changed after the 2010 movie remake - made the atmosphere on Jupiter One that little more mysterious I believe. With the launch of the first series and how the viewing numbers racked up to unbelievable levels didn't surprise me at all, except for the obvious long break that eventually brought season 2. Timing is everything in anything to do with TV or Movies. Imagine going to a restaurant and ordering your meal you've been tasting mentally all day - only for it to come along three hours later and the want, taste and need for it has gone! That's showbiz. Lost In Space was a lot of fun to watch, even for my kids who aren't really sci-fi fans, but managed to get on board every episode and see that there was this imaginative world where hope and love for family brought everything together. If you haven't seen the series, then I would recommend that you give it a go at least. Yes, it's not for everyone, but giving something a chance is better than ditching something that may or may not have picked up your entire day with entertainment.

Stumbling across this series by utter mistake, I was sure glad that I did. From the first to last episode of season one, I felt drawn into the very depths of the Dystopian atmosphere and lives of the cast members. The fresh feel of film making here was that like Bladerunner, the antagonist of the series gave that gritty look and feel for the timeline. An introduction to Poe and the hotel sealed the whole visual display of a time when nostalgia had a role to play in the storyline, and all those who became a big part of being the enemies - dying like they did - added a no thrills and spectacular scenario blazing ground level habitation. My only gripe about this show was the change in original characters from the first season which for me last two episodes. It completely threw me to the side of Nil Poi in rating. With the first season there was this tempo and pace that the second lacked bug time. There was the action sequences of martial arts, stone cold one liners and approaches to various mature situations that were all absent in season two - even introducing the two sex scenes mid season two didn't make up for the Die Hard attitude of the prevo series - which gave me hope that there would not be a season 3, although I do believe the Graphic Novel was a part of a trilogy. Season One was most definitely something real and would lead the way for many more Graphic Novel type series to follow.

The last television nightmare presentation I saw like Night Flyers, was the legendary "Alien" and that left me with troubles thoughts, which isn't a bad thing when it comes to stretching the imagination. Night Flyers was very entertaining and I loved every minute of every episode I watched. The cast was solid and I doubt there was any of them that was weak enough to have any other carry them. It was atmospheric to the point where guessing was not very good, until the actual last two episodes where the big reveal made you even more scared of space. Excellent.
