Seth MacFarlane's The Orville was wildly popular even before it's TV debut, because of the hilarious trailer spots that gave every potential viewer that need to see at least one episode.
From the first episode all the way through to the last of Season One I really enjoyed the feel and architecture of the ships, special effects and even the unique flavour that each character brought into the series. True, there were a few moments of tongue in cheek comedic quirks, but these are expected with MacFarlane from his prevo creations and co-productions which have left viewers in hysterics.
From all the crew of The Orville, including Bordus, who I believe is everyone's favourite, along with Mercer, Lamar, McCoy and even Kelly. But there is a favourite for everyone, I'm sure of that.
As for the episode storylines, I think there is none that I didn't find entertaining, funny and again, sometimes a little risque as to language and innuendo both. One of the best of these was Bordus and his ritual in peeing once per year, as well as laying an egg...
If you haven't seen The Orville, then you should check out at least one episode and see for yourself the wonder of what a once stand up comedian can actually offer the television world and an awaiting audience of true comedy.
