It should have been titled The Woman. I would have enjoyed it more if the author had elaborated on the lives of the other 2 nurses , Barb and Ethel, and their backgrounds instead of focusing so much on Frankie’s love life. The return of the dead lover seemed contrived. On the plus side I do have a desire for gin now.
