You should not listen to the deceitful words and cheap promises of the one with the tales, the one who sucks the soul out of you, never never give your soul to a devilish person who is blinding you with cheap sparkles… man is so easily manipulated… Igor Stravinsky is a genius of telling a story about this soldier, and the dissonance of his violin solo indicates a devils presence and interference…. I am so lucky to hear Sir Mark Elder conducting a small ensemble of a bbc stage production of the soldier’s tale

I feel very passionate about these majestic beautiful beasts. We need to do everything possible to protect them and build them wild sanctuaries and never let them be kept in cages, or in a circus, for entertainment or treated cruelly by people who do not understand that tigers have memories, tigers form bonds and human relationships, tigers have noble characteristics. Tigers need wild spaces, need jungles, need freedom, tigers need people not to encroach on their territory. People need not be afraid but love the tiger. So no more shooting these wild beautiful kings of the jungle, there are so few left of them.

This is a really really good film, it’s the only time I liked Johnny Depp and Leonardo di Caprio, both gave very good performances
At the time I watched it I thought di Caprio was a 14-15 year old, and brother Gilbert to be a teenager, but no, they were 18-19 and 30-31 respectively. Quite sad and truly emotional all throughout, one of the very best American films ever made that I like
