This is a horrendously bad movie, made worse by the expectations created by how great the first movie was. It is trite, manipulative and devoid of any comedy or character development. All just farce and cutesy bs. I just can't believe a studio could be this stupid in this age of excellent content. I am truly astonished at the great reviews I see here. Are they planted reviews? Did they see the same movie I did? Are they all below the age of 6 and lacking any ability to see anything except flashes of color and loud noises. Save yourself time money and aggravation, don't bother with this movie. Frankly, I've written off the rest of the franchise. It was that bad. And I cannot BELIEVE that Jim Carrey agreed to this script. Must have mistakenly signed an ironclad contract.
