Story and filming was ok for the most part, but can't get beyond the episodes that are filmed so dark that you can't make out what is happening. The "effect" had less to do with setting the mood of the scene and more to do with making the scenes shot that way unbearable to watch.

It's a shame that someone can make a movie that is over 3 hours long with virtually no strength of story in it. This is a personal project for the artists and computer programmers bringing to life all of the visuals. That said, 3 hours of visual effects don't make a movie entertaining...story telling does. There is no real "meat" here, it's mostly fluff and filler...

Having to watch someone portray a Navy Commander without having the respect to have an appropriate haircut is just silly in this production age. "official" Navy photos and Pratt is sporting a mullet and hair over the ears takes away everything from his portrayal of a SEAL. That said, there were good moments in the series, although the amount of filler was a bit extreme.
