Essentially Predator 1 with a female hero. The photography was wonderful, and for me the best part of the movie. I could at times almost smell the freshness in the air and feel the pristiness of the American wilderness.. Apart from those new takes (the female and the photography), the movie was nothing new. At times I t ought it was a little stretched out, and some scenes, allowing for sci fi fantasy and the producers artisitic licence, were just a bit much. But, I did enjoy it ( 3 1/2 stars if I could and not quite a 4 and NOT a 5). I loved Amber Midthunder as Naru which kept me watching. Loved the dog dog Sari too. The others didn't quite cut it for me. Definitely worth a watch, but essentially nothing new from the original story of Predator 1 (with Arnie).

Full of action but so much going on. The concept art, the production, special effects, all wonderful but it's almost like they are there to make up for basically a poorly written sci-fi movie. I understand it's a fictional sci fi set in the distant future, but so many protagonists with super human abilities - just a bit too much. I like Vinnie Diesel, and enjoyed "Pitch Black" which was far more watchable with some sort of character deveolpement than this one. I stuck it out to the end rather than stopping half way through. Not worth the full watch.

I didn't mind it. The first one is better but I watched the second for what it was. Not a deep and meaningful by any means but entertaining nonethe less. Gory and thrilling at times, once or twice funny. Reminded me a little bit of Alien/s but in a cave setting, but the acting nowhere close in calibre to the Alien movies. Probably preferred a 3 1/2 star but decided on a 4 (generous) rather than a 3 Worth a watch in my opinion, but watch it for what it is - horror and entertainment.

I thought the reviews were overrated for this show. In summary so as not to provide spoilers, it added nothing substantial to the Aliens saga storyline. Basically a shoot them up with a lot of repeated concepts from the other Alien movies. I didn’t think much of the cast either, despite so many glowing reviews – they come nowhere near the quality acting of the cast of any of the previous movies. I certainly didn’t think much of Johnsson in his role despite all the acclaim. As usual the special effects were top notch. For me, this the last on the list of the Alien saga. I totally enjoyed Alien3 , 4, Prometheus, Covenant, Alien 1, then 2 in that order. And I have watched them all a few times over the many years. I will watch this one again when it’s out on DVD just to get another look at it, but for now, it was a disappointment after all the hype and so many glowing reviews. As for the reviews, despite my 2, I understand a 3. I even understand a 4 for those who really did like it, but a 5?? 5 out of 5? What…. a perfect movie when compared to the other Alien movies? No way. I do always wonder these days how many online reviews are genuine or generated by bots.

very nice effects, costume, production and reasonable to very average acting but overal, a little bit silly and probably aimed at a very young audience, which is perfectly fine. I enjoyed the first movie for what it was, but the second one was quite predictable. Wouldn't watch it again, and dubious about whhether I'd watch the 3rd instalment if there is one. If not for the visual effects, i would have scored it 1

Silly Acting is very ordinary, especially the main character who in my opinion was poorly casted. It was quite comical watching her expressions when she tried to act angry - totally unconvincing. Some of the other cast were reasonable. the poor dubbing didn't help either. The writing at times was silly. At times I thought what is going on here? Season 2 Episode 7 was totally ridiculous. I won't say why because that will be a spoiler. The last episode was silly at times too, leaving me wondering what is this and that about??? Yes, a cliffhanger but silly. The only redeeming feature for me was the fact that it reflects to some degree the extent of the drug trade and corruption which exists even now, evidenced by the recent string of murders of political candidates in Mexico's upcoming elections. Personally, I think this show has been poorly produced, poorly written, and for the most part, poorly acted. Wanted to stop after Season 1, (watching the last few episodes in Season 1 was a struggle enough) but thought I'd give it another go. Waste of time. At least most episodes are only 35 - 40 minutes in length. For this genre of show, ''Queen of The South'' starring Alice Braga is a standout series, leaving Igobernable well and truly for dead.

Thoroughly enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 having watched them on HBO on fox. So much so that I bought the dvds when on special. Apart from the entertainment and graphics, it stimulated discussion on a n umber of topics concerning AI and other areas such as morality and some aspects of psychology. So i would score those a 4 (4.5 if i could) There was not a lot more to explore in seasons 3 and 4 although they could have been developed a little further and better but these latter two seasons became obsessed with special effects, unnecessary abundant and silly violence, seemingly just to fill in for the silly storyline. Well it didn't work for me Season 3 was a tedious struggle to sit through, but the reviews for season 4 were quite positive from some reveiwers so I thought I'd persist through to season 4. But what a waste of time. Needless to say, i did not purchase seasons 3 and 4 on dvd. So seasons 3 and 4 got one star ma inly for the graphics.

I'm glad there were only 4 episodes to this program. I stopped watching after the first episode as I didn't like some of the acting and writing. The concept of looking at the lives the "perpetrators"of accidents sounded interesting but for me, it just did not deliver. Anyway, I decided to give the rest of the show a go so resumed. Episode 2, disappointing. It took until episode 3 to become worthwhile watch. Not an uncommon story unfolded but became a curious thing to see how it ended. There were a number of short scenes which I have no idea why they were included. The ending left me and my wife wondering.. "what? is that it?" , and it was quite ambiguous. In the end , a waste of time. Would not watch it again. And i did not like Nicole Kidman in this either.

Well I must have totally missed something with this show because I believe all the extremely postive reviews are grossly overstated. Having said that I have just finished season 2 and started season 3. Why continue? because I have already invested time in 20 or so episodes and is only now that the story/writing has become interesting. Way too much swearing to the point where it's gratuitous. The production itself is of a good standard. The acting? yes they do that well particularly Brian Cox who is by far the best of them all. A number of characters, in particular Tom, Greg, and to a lesser extent Rome border on the comically ridiculous. Snook's character at times almost joins them, and personally not a fan of her acting in this show. I will continue to watch this just to see how the writers handle the situation that began to unfold at the end of season 2. But it took that long to make the show somewhat worth watching. But it is nowhere near "brilliant" or any of the other superlatives tagged to this show in the reviews ANd, I only went that far because of these reviews that made me think, this show must get better as it moves along. Anyway, back to season 3. Hopefully with less swearing.
