I was surprised that it was a musical. So I really enjoyed it more! It reminded me of my youth and the fun musical fantasy stories I watched as a kid. Like Dr. Doolittle the original with Rex Harrison. I must admit I found myself crying towards the end and believe me the director and writers were great at pulling at the heartstrings. I recommend this movie since the offerings for live action musical/ dramas have been scarce. We need more live action than endless cartoons and AI for families and kids of all ages. Wonka checked all the boxes for me.
