I’m not sure why this movie has gotten so much criticism from critics? It’s funny,wholesome, and visually stimulating. The dancing and singing is wonderful with many legendary artists performances. Really enjoyed this movie was able to watch with the entire family!

Only watched two episodes before I couldnt stand anymore. Why pit these two women against eachother with an imaginary conflict of colorism? This does nothing more than perpetuate the untruths rooted in colorism and divides black women more. There was too much focus on how beautiful Addie was ( because she was light)even Booker T Washington practically sexually harrassed her on stage. Which never really happened. This Series does his legacy, Madame C.J walkers, and Annie Malone a great disservice. If you are going to use a real life legends name please stick with the truth. Black people need no more phony Hollywood narratives that further divide us.
