This is a great 6-minute documentary reminding us that Indigenous people occupied this land before settlers arrived, and that there is a history spanning hundreds of years of the treaties and agreements between Indigenous peoples and the new arrivals. It poses the important question of why do we not all learn of this history in our schools. I recently read "From the Ashes" by Jesse Thistle (writer and co-director of this film), and this documentary is a good complement to the book, which I also recommend highly.
