This is the Staying Alive of the Magic Mike trilogy. It pales in comparison to the original and even makes XXL look brilliant in comparison. There is no chemistry between the characters, and Tatum follows Hayek around like a naive puppy dog who's never been in a relationship before. It's like Soderbergh completely forgot what made the original so appealing and just used this as a template for some vanity project. What a waste of a fun series 🤦‍♂️

Encapsulates nearly everything wrong with big studio movies nowadays. This is not a sequel to the goofy and fun original film, but a 115 minute Warner Bros advertisement about their major properties and how far over the line they're willing to go to exploit that fact. Throw in a cheap morality subplot about a neglectful father, and the circle of insult and lack of creativity is complete. Even the real MJ knew to distance himself from this turd. Zero Stars

Beautifully creepy in appearance, yet empty in actual substance. Slow pacing may be trying for some, especially since its 87 minute run time feels like over two hours. Worth a view from an artistic lover's perspective, but average moviegoers will be bored out of their minds.
