I enjoyed the film. For one thing, the central question (mercy killing as euthanasia) is a decent philosophical dilemma (as demonstrated by Clancy's own response to his daughters pain). Obviously, the premise of two people with such amazing paranormal capacities is unrealistic, but it makes for a decent logical problem within the movie's own created world--we have no problem with Tolkien's characters who have super-human powers, but limitations within the laws of Tolkien's fictional universe.
