had no expectations going in, thought this could be an interesting take on a serial killer film. Unfortunately this barely counts as a story. Nothing happens nothing is set up or resolved it just starts and then ends while somehow feeling like it consisted only of the middle bits of a movie without the action or story. The acting is good but the writing is so dumbed down nobody feels like they are talking to each other. At one point someone says “i know you are angry with us” after the main character had been nothing but calm and kind to the other character who then proceeded to start getting super agressive because the main character didn’t get angry??? And then none of this is resolved you never see the character or find out about what happened to cause this supposed conflict.. why include this in your movie Nothing happened in this movie. I love a slow intellectual thriller don’t get me wrong but 40 minutes of this movie are him looking nervous while B roll of a fake concert plays in the background and the rest is the main character being obviously the killer and everyone ignoring it. This movie feels like the last episode of a bad showtime series written by someone who had never talked to another person Spoiler: This ”thriller” about a killer trapped in an arena of potential victims has exactly 1 action sequences and it happens in a zoomed out shot where you see nothing happen. Then a series of inexplicably dumb characters hand him the tools he needs too progress through too a safe escape only to be foiled because he tells someone he’s the killer and just hopes they can be manipulated enough that he can escape which doesn’t hapgaypen because he’s the dumbest killer in the world and just lets the person “hunting” him come to his home and somehow still expects to get away with it. Honestly without plot armor he would have been caught before the movie started
