My favourite novels, series, and movies are historical dramas. The King is top tier! King Henry V could not have been better cast. Timothee Chalamet’s portrayal is nothing short of perfection. I would not have guessed Robert Pattinson up to playing the Dauphin so convincingly. There isn’t a weak performance in this film. The cinematography is beautifully done - dark, moody, gothic. The score is fantastic for the film. The only complaint I have is the abrupt ending which seems as though it was well written and filmed, but the key scenes were left on the editing room floor. A weak ending, but an exceptional film well worth watching!
