I love this movie. It explores the King’s story from a new perspective, Col. Tom Parker, and took things to a completely new level. The emotional weight with some of the scenes genuinely had me shedding a few tears. The performances by Austin Butler as Elvis and Tom Hanks as Parker hold nothing back, showing how much Luhrman wanted to pay homage to the King’s tragic story from the perspective of the man who manipulated his career.
