Enough of Will’s original work to make it a light enjoyable film. Otherwise writing was inconsistent and the acting pretty flat with the supporting cast (parents were ok). Never really felt the chemistry between the two leads.

Apple puts this in the comedy genre. This and Mr Levitt are why I started watching and why I stuck with it for the first season. I’m glad I did. There are comedic moments but this isn’t a comedy program. I enjoyed so many of the introspective moments. It seems like it is a glimpse into the mind of a frustrated artist. The set design and animated breakaways are inspired. I hope it gets renewed.
