Well l was a little disappointed with this movie, Gladiator is my favourite movie of all time, also directed by Ridley Scott. But l don’t think Napoleon is a patch on that movie, l don’t think Joaquin Phoenix is the right type of actor to play Napoleon, he hasn’t got the emotional ability as a actor to play him as the role demands. A younger Russell Crowe than he is now would have been more suitable, also the film seemed to overdo the VISUAL EFFECTS and there quality was not all that good either. The film also tried to fit too much in about Napoleon battles and not enough developing the main characters. Only a 3 star for me !!!.
