Okay first off YES this us a take off of the JL. I mean come on… Of course it is. When you see it, it even brings in a bit of Watchmen. And yes there are direct comparisons. I mean how could it not be?? We started out lives on these heroes. They are the template to virtually everything. So before you look at the one star whining from all the haters, understand that you will see copies of comic personas. But that doesnt take away from the fun in this series. Its quirky and at times way over the top. But thats what makes it funny. They aren’t trying to make a serious program. They’re just trying to take a look at superhero culture the way that it is. And all the people that are on here blasting it because of everything that is wrong is exactly the reason why a show like this needed to be made to begin with. Why can’t we just do some thing that’s fun and dark and a little bit funny just because it’s something to watch? I mean have you seen some of the swill that’s been put on these streaming platforms as of late? This one is kind of a mix between multiple ones of those. Which is why I even gave it a chance. And then the opening sequence is when I saw a cybernetic Mecha Hitler that started WW3? Oh yeah, that peaked my interest to see where in the world they were going to go with it next. Although the acting is um… interesting, when i stopped looking for the good and enjoyed a laugh at the bad it made it way more fun. So say what you want..: but when you girl off watching movies like the toxic avenger, this is right up along that line. Don’t watch it because you’re looking for the next big hit, or the next big merchandising train, or the next big movement where everybody is going to be talking about it at the water cooler. Watch it because it’s one of the goofiest things that’s been put up there in a long time at the expense of the comic universe.
