First time ever I have given up on a book.I made it to the end of all the Little Women saga and even Lord of the Rings. However, after reading 25% of this book at chapter 13 I felt I could not invest a further 5 or 6 hours reading something so slow and quite boring. There did not appear to be 1 redeeming feature to the characters or the Island, although I must say Joanne Harris did describe the place well as I could picture the island well and must say I'm not clambering to visit. Very disappointed.
