I agreed to watch this movie with my basically step daughter after a few cocktails. Unfortunately I was completely sober by the time we got around to watching it this weekend.
The sing-song banter back and forth in hip hop fashion is cringely reminiscent of R. Kelly's Trapped in The Closet epic. If you had any hope for a classy fairytale feel with respectable characters, best to leave that at the door.
Left three quarters of the way through to give my neighbor a ride to work. Pretty sure Disney has an Asian woman playing The Mad Hatter in this as well. Do with that what you'd like. It is Disney after all. Woke train gonna keep on rollin'. 🙄
The kid loved it and that's what matters. She said they left room for a sequel. Hopefully I'm not loaded when it comes out or I'll end up agreeing to watching it with her again.
Not sure how Disney isn't in the poor house yet. They haven't put anything good out since Moon Knight.
