Went into this game thinking it would be a hard reset, going back to the basics but with amazing graphics and just overhauling the game for a new gen of consoles and pc's. I don't like the characters, I don't like the ridiculous story that's just getting more out of hand, I'm tired of multiverse and timelines. I'm tired of games catered to the competitive players and not the casual, long-standing players. Overpriced, getting just sick of the DLC cash grabs and loot bag gambling that every AAA game has become. Give me my Mortal Kombat with free, included, unlockable characters and costumes and a story I can play for more than a day and a half. I'm honestly heartbroken at how much I dislike this game. Mortal Kombat is the one game I remember bonding with Dad over. It's like the last bit of him I have left. And this? I think my gaming days are finally almost up. I've lost interest. Games are too much work and cost too much now. Wish they'd have swapped the roster and Kameos. The Kameos are really all that sticks out for me. I love how they look, but they're clunky and I find myself using them more as projectile blockers than anything. I'm really sad...
