Beth Lyon

This show fought hard to find its identity. Suicide, infidelity, depression, cancer, death of a parent, parent dementia, inappropriate teacher behavior, teenage gayness, and so much more. I feel like that while the writers bit off more than they could chew, each episode was believable and touching in some way. I hated that Gary died, but the final episode was very well acted and written.
