I have always loved this show. It is great to watch news that is not all bad. However I have to make a comment about Jim Gaffigan’s rant about decaffeinated coffee. He made the comment that if he was a server he would not bother to make a pot of decaf coffee and just serve regular coffee. As a cardiac patient I am under strict orders from my doctor not to have caffeine. It can over stress my heart and possibly cause my death. This always crosses my mind when I order coffee In a restaurant. I love coffee and do miss the taste of regular coffee however if I want to survive my cardiac issues I had to give it up. I feel Jim’s comment was very reckless and quite frankly very serious for those of us who are required to drink decaffeinated drinks. I am under a lot of stress dealing with my cardiac issues and now after a know name on television has made this comment it will cause me more diligence when I order coffee from restaurants. Decaffeinated drinks are not a joke to a lot of people. I strongly feel some type of correction must be made to correct Jim’s thoughtless comment and lets hope the same servers here it again so they may not feel empowered to serve regular coffee when decaf is ordered.
