One of the most intense movies ever made. Holly Hunter is brilliant as are all of the characters, but her portrayal of a mute is astounding. Sam Neill is her jealous husband, in a fit of rage, chops off her finger and she can’t even utter a sound. Her silent pain brings me to tears.

One of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Make sure you watch through the end credits. I laughed, I cried. Stunning movie. Flawless. I just watched it 2 weeks ago and I’m going to watch it again.
